the Subject Names and Document Numbers of
News Items and CONTENTS of
RENESAS TOOL NEWS |
We are making changes to the subject names and document numbers of news
items, and the order of arranging them in CONTENTS of RENESAS TOOL NEWS
on July 1, 2006.

The subject names of news items
The current subject name of a news item consists of its issue date
in YY/MM/DD format, TN- followed by a serial number in CONTENTS,
and the title of news.
Examples:
- 06/06/01 TN-1, A Note on Using the C/C++ Compiler Package--M3T-CC32R--for the M32R Family of MCUs
- 06/06/01 TN-2, The E8 Emulator Software Revised to V.x.xx Release xx
The subject name of a news item after changes are made consists
of RENESAS TOOL NEWS, the kind of news item, the product type
related and its document number in this order.
Examples after changes are made:
- RENESAS TOOL NEWS [Notes] M3T-CC32R (Doc. No.: xxxxxx)
- RENESAS TOOL NEWS [Release] E8 Emulator Software V.x.xx Rxx (Doc. No.: xxxxxx)
Advantages of the above changes:
- Including RENESAS TOOL NEWS in the subject name enables you
easily to extract a series of RENESAS TOOL NEWS items by using
your mailer's classification capability.
- You can distinguish the news items classified into Notes from
the others at a glance, for example.

The order of arrangement of News Items in CONTENTS
The current arrangement of news items in CONTENTS is in the order

of products.

This order of arrangement is changed to that of the types of
products, product names, and the kinds of news items.

Advantage of the above changes:
- Arranging news items in the order of the types of products and
product names enables you easily to search for the news items

Document numbers
The current document number in RENESAS TOOL NEWS is as follows:
RSO-Product Name_Serial Number-Date followed by D
NOTE: "_serial number" is appended if necessary.
Examples: RSO-M3T-CC32R_1-060601D
This document number is changed as follows in order to simplify it:
Date/tn followed by a serial number in CONTENTS
NOTE: Date represented in YY/MM/DD format
Examples after the change is made: 060601/tn1 |

We are making the above changes to the items of RENESAS TOOL
NEWS published on and after July 1, 2006.
