The Debuggers for the 740 MCU Family
Revised to Their V.1.02 Release 00

We have revised the debuggers for the 740 MCU family to those listed below.
  • The 740 PC4701 emulator debugger V.1.02 Release 00
  • The 740 compact emulator debugger V.1.02 Release 00
  • The 740 simulator debugger V.1.02 Release 00

  1. Descriptions of Revision
    1.1   The Update of the High-performance Embedded Workshop
    The High-performance Embedded Workshop included with the above debuggers has been updated from V.4.00.03 to V.4.01.01. For details of the descriptions of revision in the updated High-performance Embedded Workshop, see the following items of RENESAS TOOL NEWS:
    For the other modifications, see the version reports in each debugger's release note.

    1.2   Problems Fixed
    The following known problems have been fixed:
    (1)   For the problems fixed by the revision of the High-performance Embedded Workshop to V.4.01.00 and that to V.4.01.01, see the items of RENESAS TOOL NEWS listed in Section 1.1.
    (2)   On referencing member variables of a structure, union, or class

  2. How to Update Your Products Free of Charge
    To any of the revised products concerned, yours can be updated using the AutoUpdate utility free of charge.

    For the following debuggers, you are able to update yours by downloading their update programs from the download sites listed below and executing them:
    - The 740 PC4701 emulator debugger
    - The 740 compact emulator debugger

    These download sites will be opened on and after this September 21.
