| The Flash Development Toolkit Revised to V.3.07 Release 02 |
We have revised the Flash Development Toolkit from V.3.07 Release 01 to
V.3.07 Release 02. This toolkit is used for programming flash memory in
the SuperH RISC engine, M16C, H8SX, H8S, H8, and 740 families of MCUs.
1. Descriptions of Revision
1.1 Supported MCUs Increased
(1) The H8/36079F MCU added to the support line in the H8 family.
(2) The following 25 MCUs of the M16C family added to the support line;
they are programmable only using the E8 emulator:
Group MCUs
------------------------------------------------------
M32C/87 M30873FH and M30875FH
M16C/26A M30263F8
M16C/30P M30302GAP, M30302GCP, M30302GDP, and M30302GEP
M16C/6NK M306NKFH and M306NKFJ
M16C/6NL M306NLFH and M306NLFJ
M16C/6NM M306NMFH and M306NMFJ
M16C/6NN M306NNFH and M306NNFJ
R8C/24 R5F21245
R8C/25 R5F21255
R8C/2A R5F212A8 and R5F212A7
R8C/2B R5F212B8 and R5F212B7
R8C/2C R5F212C8 and R5F212C7
R8C/2D R5F212D8 and R5F212D7
(3) The following 2 MCUs of the 740 family (the flash memory version)
added to the support line; they are programmable only using
the E8 emulator:
Group MCU
------------------------------------------------------
3803L M38039FFL
3804L M38049FFL
(4) The following 6 MCUs of the 740 family (the QzROM version)
added to the support line; they are programmable only using
the E8 emulator with the socket board:
Group MCUs
------------------------------------------------------
7548 M37548G1, M37548G2, and M37548G3
7549 M37549G1, M37549G2, and M37549G3
1.2 Function Improved
- Programming time of flash memory in the R8C/14 to /29 groups
The programming time of flash memory in the R8C/14 to /29 groups
has become much shorter than before by optimizing single-line
communications capabilities.
1.3 Problem Fixed
- Problem depending on reset constants at programming the M37542 MCU
Fixed has been the problem that the flash memory of the M37542
cannot be programmed depending on its reset constant.
2. Note on Using MCUs of One-Time flash ROM versions
In the Flash Development Toolkit, three options of protection levels,
"Automatic", "Interactive", and "None", are selectable at programming
flash ROM.
Note, however, that if you program one-time flash ROM by selecting
"Automatic" or "Interactive" as the protecting option, protection
is furnished on the same level as when you select "None".
3. How to Update Your Product
Free-of-charge online update is available.
Download the most recent version of the installer from the Web site
and execute it. This site will be opened from February 23 on.
NOTICE:
The above URL is that of our global site (in English). The regional
site will be opened two or three days after the above date.
You are also able to update yours using the AutoUpdate Utility included
in the Toolkit V.3.06 Release 00 or later.
