A Note on Using the C/C++ Compiler Package for the SuperH Family of MCUs

Please take note of the following problem in using the C/C++ compiler package for the SuperH family of MCUs:
  • With using custom build phases with a specific name

1. Product and Versions Concerned
The C/C++ compiler package for the SuperH family
   V.9.00 Release 00 through 9.01 Release 01

2. Description
When a custom build phase with a specific name has been registered in
a project, and if the version of the tool chain used for creating the
project is changed, High-performance Embedded Workshop may abnormally
   be terminated.

3. Conditions
This problem occurs if the following conditions are all satisfied:
   (1) A project has been created using the C/C++ compiler package for
the SuperH family V.8.00 Release 05 or earlier.

   (2) A custom build phase whose name includes character string Hitachi
has been registered in the project in (1).
   (3) The version of the tool chain used for creating the project in (1)
is changed to V.9.00 Release 00 or later.

4. Workaround
Do not use character string Hitachi for the name of custom build phases.

5. Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in the next release of the compiler
   package.
