| The SuperH Linux Platform for the SH7780 MCU Group Released |
We have Released a platform for SuperH Linux* on which a member of
the SH7780 group, SuperH RISC engine family is mounted.
*SuperH Linux is the Linux program running on an MCU of the SuperH RISC
engine family.
1. Outline
The SuperH Linux platform for the SH7780 MCU group consists of the three
boards described below, which enables you to use LAN, HD, and CardBus,
and is suitable for the users who are going to design Linux systems
with SH7780 MCUs.
Our evaluation results have confirmed that Linux Kernel V.2.6.14.4 can
run satisfactorily on this platform.
2. The System Composition of the SuperH Linux Platform
for the SH7780 MCU Group
The platform consists of the following three boards:
(1) MCU board R0P7780LC0011RL
On this board is mounted an MCU of the SH7780 group. This board
can be used alone for an evaluation board of SH7780 MCUs. With
this board is included a CD-R containing a sample program of the
boot loader.
(2) Power supply board R0P0400LP0011RL
This board is dedicated to supply power to the R0P7780LC0011RL MCU
board and cannot be used alone.
(3) PCI expansion board R0P0400LE0011RL
This board is used in combination with the RP7780LC0011RL MCU board
and also cannot be used alone.

The above boards are available separately.
