of Renesas's Software Development Tool Products
and Windows Vista (TM), No. 3 |
We provide you with additional information on the evaluation status of
Renesas Technology's software development tools operating on Windows
Vista (TM).
This is the third report of RENESAS TOOL NEWS with the same title, whose
second report was published on May 16, 2007, on the Web page at

1. Outline of the Evaluation Status
Our evaluation results have confirmed that the products listed in
Section 2 below can operate properly on Windows Vista (TM) in their
fundamental functions.
Note, however, that because the effects and restrictions listed in
sections 3 and 4 of RENESAS TOOL NEWS published on May 16, 2007, are
still existing, you are encouraged to use Windows XP or 2000 if they
are the cases. If other effects and restrictions are newly introduced,
we will inform you of them in our tool news.
2. Products Concerned
Since the last report, our evaluation results have confirmed that
the following products can properly operate on Windows Vista (TM):
- C compiler package for the R32C/100 series V.1.01 Release 00
- Simulator debugger for the R32C series V.1.00 Release 00
- Real-time OS for the R32C/100 series--M3T-MR100/4 V.1.00 Release 00
- E8a emulator software V.1.00 Release 00A
3. Effects and Workarounds
No effects have newly been found since RENESAS TOOL NEWS Document No.
070516/tn3, published on May 16, 2007. For existing effects and

5. Plans of Support for Windows Vista (TM)
Though we notified that we plan to solve every problem with
operations on Windows Vista (TM) in all products to be released
after August 2007, including new revisions, in RENESAS TOOL NEWS
Document No. 070201/tn6, published on February 1, 2007, please
aware that some products may have not been fully compatible with
Windows Vista (TM) even if they were released after August 2007.
