| The Peripheral I/O Supporting Tool
Peripheral Driver Generator V.1.02 Published |
We have published the supporting tool to develop the driver --Peripheral
Driver Generator--for on-chip peripheral I/O module of the M16C/60,
M16C/Tiny, H8 300H/Tiny, and R8C/Tiny series of MCUs.
1. Outline
The Peripheral Driver Generator is a tool that supports of a driver for
a peripheral I/O module in a microcomputer. The Peripheral Driver
Generator, which contains peripheral I/O module API libraries,
allows users to design and automatically generate functions
for calling the libraries via its user interface.
The supported microcomputers are the M16C/Tiny, H8/Tiny, R8C/Tiny series,
and main groups of the M16C/60 series.

2. Features
The main features of the product are as follows:
- Automatically generates functions to call Renesas Embedded Application
Programming interface for peripheral functions of MCUs using GUI.
- Enables you to develop application programs easily by calling
C-language functions generated using the Peripheral Driver Generator
with the High-performance Embedded Workshop.
- Provides facilities for replacing MCUs one another.

- Serial: Synchronous and asynchronous
- Timer: Timer, event counter, input capture modes, etc.
- I/O port: I/O settings
- Interrupt: Interrupt settings
- A/D converter: Single-shot, repetition, single-sweep modes, etc.
4. Host System Requirements
Computer: IBM PC/AT or compatible
OS: Windows XP or Windows 2000
