A Note on Using High-performance Embedded Workshop (IDE)
--With Loading Files in the Motorola S Format--


Please take note of the following problem in using High-performance Embedded Workshop:*
  • With loading files in the Motorola S format
*High-performance Embedded Workshop is bundled with the compilers and other software products that it manages.

1. Description
   When you are using High-performance Embedded Workshop in combination 
   with any of the debuggers listed below, the following problem occurs:
   If the Watch window is opened, and a Motorola-S-formatted file is 
   loaded with variables being registered in the Watch window, these 
   registered variables will be all deleted.

   If you encounter this problem, re-register the deleted variables.

   Debuggers Involved in the Problem
    - Simulator debugger for the SuperH RISC engine family
    - Simulator debugger for the H8SX, H8S, and H8 families
    - E8 Emulator Software
    - E8a Emulator Software
    - E10A-USB Emulator Software
    - E10T-USB Emulator Software
    - E200F Emulator Software
    - E6000H Emulator Software
    - E6000 Emulator Software

2. Solution
   This problem has been fixed in High-performance Embedded Workshop 
   V.4.04.00, which was released in this December 16.
