1. Product and Versions to Be Updated
High-performance Embedded Workshop V.3.00.00 through V.4.04.00
High-performance Embedded Workshop is bundled with the compilers and
other software products that it manages.
To check for the version number of your High-performance Embedded
Workshop, open the Help menu and select the About High-performance
Embedded Workshop command.
2. Description of Revision
The following problem has been fixed:
When your High-performance Embedded Workshop updated to V.4.04.00 is
launched, it may be terminated abnormally.

3. How to Update Your Product
Free-of-charge online update is available. Use either of the following
ways to update yours:
(1) Download the update program* of the product from the Web site shown
below and execute it.
http://www.renesas.com/hew_download
This Web site will be opened from January 21 on.
(2) Use AutoUpdate Utility** to download the update program of
the product; then execute it.
This service will be provided on and after January 22.
Note that the above two ways of updating do not update any components
except High-performance Embedded Workshop; that is, no C compilers,
emulator debuggers, and others updated.
NOTES:
*Three types of update program are available. Use any of them
depending on the IDE you are using. They are as follows:
(a) Full update program
The components of High-performance Embedded Workshop to which
changes have been made in and after V.3.00.00 are updated;
that is, V.3.00.00 and later can be updated.
(b) Differential update program from V.4.04.00
The components of High-performance Embedded Workshop to which
changes have been made in and after V.4.04.00 are updated;
that is, V.4.04.00 can be updated.
(c) Differential update program from V.4.03.00
The components of High-performance Embedded Workshop to which
changes have been made in and after V.4.03.00 are updated;
that is, V.4.03.00 and later can be updated.
**When you are using AutoUpdate Utility whose version falls in
a range from V.1.00.00 to V.1.03.00, update it to V.1.04.00; then
update your High-performance Embedded Workshop to V.4.04.01.
AutoUpdate Utility was revised to V.1.04.00 on July 1, 2007.
