| MCUs Added to the Support Lines of the Emulation Probe
--R0E521000EPB00--and the Compact Emulator--R0E521000CPE00--
for the R8C/Tiny Series of MCUs |
The MCUs coming with 32-KB ROM of the R8C/28 and R8C/29 groups have become
supported by the emulation probe--R0E521000EPB00--and the compact emulator
--R0E521000CPE00--for the R8C/Tiny series of MCUs.
1. Descriptions
The R0E521000EPB00 emulation probe and the R0E521000EPB00 compact
emulator have started supporting the MCUs coming with 32-KB ROM (the J
and K versions) of the R8C/28 and R8C/29 groups.
To emulate systems designed with these MCUs, their respective MCU files
and release notes are necessary. An MCU file contains information
specific to the corresponding MCU, and a release note does information
on debugging and evaluating MCU-based target systems.

To connect the emulation probe or compact emulator with the user system,
use the converter board--R0E521174CSJ00--for the 20-pin 0.65-mm-pitch
LSSOP package. For details of this converter board, see its user's manual

2. How to Obtain MCU Files and Release Notes
We supply you with the MCU files for the MCUs with 32-KB ROM of the
R8C/28 and R8C/29 groups and the release notes for these MCUs in which
information on debugging and evaluating target systems are described
We prepare the release note and the installer of the MCU files for
the R0E521000EPB00 and the R0E521000CPE00 each, as listed below.
Download the release note and the installer of the MCU files you want
from the Web page at
http://tool-support.renesas.com/eng/toolnews/download/r8c26_29.htm
(available on and after March 7, 2008).
Then execute the downloaded installer to add the newly-supported MCUs'
MCU files to your emulator debugger.
