| DocumentUpdater Revised to V.3.00.00 |
We have revised DocumentUpdater from V.2.00.01 to V.3.00.00.
This utility searches the database on Renesas Web for documents related to
the specified MCU and provides the search results in a list.
1. Descriptions of Revision
1.1 Functions Improved
(1) Whether to access to the Internet or not and how to view PDF files
are selectable when invoking the utility.
(2) The tutorial for beginners is provided at invoking; however, it can
be configured not to be provided when invoked the second time and
later.
(3) The size of windows has been made variable.
(4) The total number of retrieved documents is displayed in every
document tab.
(5) In the previous versions, all the downloaded documents have been
displayed in the Download lists tab only. In V.3.00.00 and later,
they can be displayed the classified tabs for document types.

(6) In the previous versions, it is necessary to invoke another
DocumentUpdater program in order to switch information on an MCU
to the one on another (more than one DocumentUpdater program can
be invoked at a time).
In V.3.00.00 and later, the switching is capable by pressing
the Chang MPU/MCU button even if a single DocumentUpdater
program is running

1.2 Problem Fixed
The following problem has been fixed:
To download the sample code (a ZIP file) included in the application
note through the Internet, you are requested to enter your ID and
password to MY RENESAS, our user registration system on the Web,
from April 2008. Because DocumentUpdater has not accommodated the
change made to the system, downloading the sample code using
DocumentUpdater is not allowed, resulting in the following error
message being dispatched:
Unable to complete ZIP file download.
Please confirm network connection.
2. How to Update Your Product
Free-of-charge online update is available. Use AutoUpdate Utility;
otherwise download the update program of the product from the Web site at
http://www.renesas.com/du_download
and execute it. This site will be opened at the end of June.
