A Note on Using High-performance
Embedded Workshop
--With Adding Files to a Project--

Please take note of the following problem in using High-performance Embedded Workshop:
  • With adding files to a project
High-performance Embedded Workshop is bundled with the compilers and other software products that it manages.

1. Product and Versions Concerned
All the versions of High-performance Embedded Workshop up to V.4.04.01

2. Description
When any files are selected out of a list in the Add files to project
'project name' dialog box to add them to a project, it cannot be added
with an error message being displayed if the file name contains more than
   50 characters.

To open the Add files to project 'project name' dialog box
    - On the Project menu, select Add Files.

For further information, see the user's manual of High-performance
   Embedded Workshop.

3. Workaround
When the name of a file contains more than 50 characters, add the file
   to a project as follows:
    - Drag and drop the file to be added from Windows(R) Explorer onto
the icon of the project in the Workspace window of High-performance
      Embedded Workshop.

4. Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in the next release of the product.
