| The Simulator Debugger for the SuperH RISC engine MCU Family
Revised to V.9.09.00 |
We have revised the simulator debugger for the SuperH RISC engine MCU
family from V.9.08.00 to V.9.09.00. This simulator debugger is included
in the C/C++ compiler package for the SuperH RISC engine MCU family.
1. Descriptions of Revision
1.1 Capability Introduced
The following capability has been introduced:
- Updating the Memory window periodically during execution of the
user program.
1.2 Improvements Made
The following improvements have been made:
- The channels of the timer module for the SH-2A core increased
from 1 to 2.
- The channels of the timer module for the SH-4A core increased
from 2 to 6.
1.3 Problem Fixed
The problem reported in RENESAS TOOL NEWS Document No. 090316/tn1
("With setting the clock rate for the peripheral functions,"
published on March 16, 2009) has been fixed. For details see:

2. How to Update Your Product
Online update is available free of charge. Update yours in either of
the following ways:
(1) Use AutoUpdate Utility. This service is available on and after
June 10, 2009.
(2) Download the update program of the product from:
http://www.renesas.com/sh_sim_download
Then execute it. This site will be opened from June 5, 2009, on.

3. Notices
(1) This simulator debugger is a component of the C/C++ compiler package
for the SuperH RISC engine family. So it is not available alone.
(2) Only the simulator debugger is updated by the update described in 2.
(3) The simulator debugger can be updated in the development system
where High-performance Embedded Workshop V.4.05.01 resides. So if
you have not already installed this IDE, install it in advance.
