| The Beta Versions of USB drivers (for Renesas Emulators) Compatible
with the 64-Bit Edition of Microsoft Windows(R) 7 Released |
We have released the beta versions of USB drivers compatible with the
64-bit edition of Microsoft Windows(R) 7. By using these drivers, you can
run Renesas emulator debuggers, which are incompatible themselves with
the 64-bit edition of Windows(R) 7, on this OS.
The beta versions of the drivers are released for you to evaluate them
by operating them on the 64-bit edition of Windows(R) 7 so that we can
incorporate the results of your evaluation into future production of
emulator debuggers.
So, if you have any suggestions for improving the operations of emulator
debuggers, let us know them through:

To install and uninstall the USB drivers, you must be a member of the

Before installing a USB driver, make sure that the emulator debugger
used with the emulator has been installed on your PC.
To obtain and install the USB driver you want, follow these steps:
(1) Download the installer (a zip. file) of the USB driver from:
http://tool-support.renesas.com/eng/toolnews/download/UsbDriver_Win7_64bit.htm
This site will be opened from February 19.
Read through the ReadMe file (in PDF) included in the installer.
(2) Decompress the downloaded ZIP file to obtain the installer program
(an exe. file).
(3) Execute the installer program to start the Device Driver
Installation Wizard. Then follow the instructions that appear
on-screen to install the driver.
(4) Connect your emulator with the PC via a USB cable. The emulator
will be automatically set up.
