The Real-time OS Debugger
"Debugging Extension" Revised to V1.2.01

The real-time OS debugger Debugging Extension has been revised from V1.1.01 to V1.2.01. The Debugging Extension is the software product for adding the debugging functions of real-time OSes to the High-performance Embedded Workshop.

  1. Descriptions of Revision
    1.1   Functional improvements
    The following functions have been enhanced.

    General Display in Japanese was supported.
    Context-dependent help was supported.
    Window, general It was made possible to display object names.
    Automatic updating and display freezing were supported. With initial settings, automatic updating and display freezing both are turned off.
    Made possible to display a source program by double-clicking on it. Sort display was supported.
    Made possible to keep the positions of displayed contents from moving when redisplayed.
    Automatic width adjustment of header part, lateral movement, and saving of sessions in non-display state were supported.
    Tool tip for displayed items was supported.
    Made possible to hide status-dependent menus depending on status.
    Made possible to change fonts.
    Window display processing was improved, resulting in reduced memory accesses.
    Task window Function was changed so that selected priority will apply for the priority of the ready queue rotation dialog.

    Made possible to display details of service call parameters.
    Trace window Made possible for executed tasks to be automatically displayed in the object item subwindow.
    Made possible to show up to 32 entries in resource display.
    Made possible for tasks in the HI7000/4 series also to be shown in resource display.
    Made possible for the latest trace event to be shown when redisplayed.
    Split display was supported.
    Made possible to manipulate popup menus from the object item subwindow too.
    Search function was improved.
    Operation method and display content for the execution ratio and time measurement function were improved.
    Made possible for the trace option dialog to be displayed by double-clicking the scale of the object item subwindow.
    Made possible to alter the scale even when a trace information file had been loaded.

    1.2   Trouble corrections
    The following troubles have been corrected.

    Task window

    Abnormal characters may be displayed unless Mutex function is incorporated.
    Task Detail Information window
    Task Information sheet
    Abnormal characters may be displayed for Current Attribute COP.
    DataQueue window
    Data sheet
    When data that has the value hffffffff is enqueued, queues behind that data are not displayed.
    Timer window
    Timer Queue sheet
    In Cyclic Handler where the action function is used, only a maximum of 19 queues can be displayed.
    Trace window
    Diagram subwindow
    If Scale in the RTOS Trace Option dialog box is altered, trace display may become abnormal. (When Scale is altered, be sure to reexecute beginning with kernel initialization.)

    When mutex is displayed as resource information, only the upper byte can be displayed.
