Please take note of the following problem in using cross-tool kit CC32R for the M32R family of microcomputers:

Versions Concerned
CC32R V.1.00 Release 1 -- V.1.00 Release 3

Problem
In and after the year 2000, librarian lib32R included in any of the above versions concerned incorrectly creates or modifies library files, so if those incorrect files are linked, the linker will terminate abnormally. However, lib32R works successfully as long as it only references or extracts library files. Note that all the tools of CC32R except the librarian are unrelated to this problem. In addition, the CC32R products of V.1.00 Release 4 and later are independent of it.

Workaround
This problem will be circumvented by either of the following ways:
- (1)Upgrade CC32R to its latest version.
- For information on how to upgrade your product, refer to[MESCT-CC32R-990716D: CC32R V.2.00 Release 1 Upgraded Version] issued on July 16, 1999.
- (2)Download the modified lib32R librarian to update the current one from "lib32R Download Sight".
