Please take note of the following problem in using M37531T-ADS for the M37531RSS, M37532RSS, and M37536RSS MCUs together with the PC4701 system or the M37531T-PAC 8-bit simple tool system.

Products Concerned
The products of M37531T-ADS (and those included with M37531T-PAC) whose lot codes end with a numeric character(for example, a lot code of 9BS070) are concerned with this problem. Note that this problem has been resolved in the products whose lot codes end with an alphabetical character (for example, a lot code of 9BS070A).

Problem
When the M37531T-ADS board is connected with the PC4701 system or the M37531T-PAC 8-bit simple tool system, it may not be reset by the request of the emulator depending on its operating environment and device variations. A reset request from the emulator is generated in either of the following cases:
* A reset command is issued by the emulator debugger.
* A program is downloaded from the emulator debugger.

Workaround
This problem will be circumvented by either of the following ways:
(1)Replace resistor R1 (100 k Ω) on M37531T-ADS with a resistor of 10 k Ω.
(2)Connect a resistor of 10 k Ω across R1.
