MESC TOOL NEWS:
MESCT-PD308-000616D
Please take note of the following problem in using emulator debugger PD308 for the M16C/80 series of microcomputers:
-
Versions Concerned
PD308 V.1.00 Release 1 -- V.2.00 Release 1
-
Problem
In the MR task pause window, address match interrupts are used to exercise task pause function, so the problem that is described in MESC Technical News No. M16C-56-0007 (Note on Address Match Interrupts in M16C/80 Group MCUs) issued on July 1, 2000, may occur.
-
Conditions
In the MR task pause window, unwanted interrupt may be generated when [Option] -> [Pause] -> [Come] command is selected or the Come button is clicked and pausing positions of a task are set at the address or either of the sets of addresses described in (1) through (3) below:
(1) The address of the first instruction of an interrupt process routine
(2) The address to any of the next 7 instructions following a rewrite to the interrupt control register (rewriting the interrupt priority level to a smaller value or clearing the interrupt request bit)
(3) The address to any of the next 3 instructions following a setting to the interrupt enable flag (I flag) or rewriting the IPL to a smaller value
-
Workaround
Set pausing positions of a task at other addresses than those described in (1) through (3) above.
