Precautions
|
Please take note of the following problems in using emulator debuggers PD308 for the M16C/80 series, PD30 for the M16C/60 and 20 series,
PD77 for the 77xx series, and PD38 for the 740 family of microcomputers: * On using the Task trace and Task analyze windows * On using the trace window and the TraceData command (PD308 only)
-
Problem on Using the Task Trace and Task Analyze Windows
- 1.1 Versions Concerned
- PD308 V.1.00 Release 1 - V.2.00 Release 1
- PD30 V.4.00 Release 1 - V.5.00 Release 1
- PD77 V.2.00 Release 1 - V.3.00 Release 1
- PD38 V.3.00 Release 1A - V.4.00 Release 1
- 1.2 Description
- In the Task trace and Task analyze windows, the following displays may incorrectly be provided:
- Displays of time at the positions of the start marker, end marker, and indicator
- Displays of time in the window, which indicates detailed information on task execution history

Problem on Using the Trace Window and the TraceData command (PD308 only)
- 2.1 Versions Concerned
- PD308 V.1.00 Release 1--V.2.00 Release 1
- 2.2 Description
- Displays of time in the trace window and by the TraceData command may become incorrect.
-
Conditions
Both of the problems occur if the operating clock of the target MCU is used as the resource of time measurement.
-
Workaround
Be sure to set the clock of the emulator to be the resource of time measurement.
- * How to set up the resource of time measurement
- The resource of time measurement can be selected on the MCU page in the INIT dialog box. When the clock of the emulator used, enter nothing in the MCU Clock area of the Time Count Resource group.

Schedule of Fixing Problems
We plan to fix these problems in our next release.
