Notice to Customers
Who Are Using or Intend to Purchase
the M30800T-RPD-E Emulation Pod
for the M16C/80T MCU Group
(for Automobile MCUs)

The MCU mounted in emulation pod M30800T-RPD-E for the M16C/80T MCU group (automobile use) is different from the one for the M16C/80 MCU group (general purpose use), so the following customers are requested to observe caution in purchasing, remodeling or repairing their M30800T-RPD-E:
- Customers who intend to purchase M30800T-RPD-E for the M16C/80T group of MCUs
- Customers who are using M30800T-RPD-E for the M16C/80T group of MCUs
- If you intend to purchase M30800T-RPD-E for the M16C/80T group, place your order as follows:

(1) Type Name: MESH-TOOL-H
(2) Comment: M16C/80T-POD
Be aware that since the M30800T-RPD-E emulation pods for the M16C/80T group are custom-made products, delivery time is 10 days longer than that of standard products.
If you are going to purchase the pod for the M16C/80 group, place your order as follows (the usual way):
(1) Type Name: M30800T-RPD-E
(2) Comment: Need not be specified
- If you ordered M30800T-RPD-E for the M16C/80T group before and after this September and received it, please check whether the lot number of your product ends with character "C" or not.
Should the lot number end with character "C", your pod is for the M16C/80 group. Then, please directly contact your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor, and we will replace it free of charge with the pod for the M16C/80T group.
All the products with the lot number ending other than character "C" can be used as they are.
- If you are currently using M30800T-RPD-E as the emulation pod for the
M16C/80T group, Tool News "Announcement Free Replacement of MCU
Mounted in Emulation Pod (M30800T-RPD-E) for M16C/80 MCUs" issued on
September 1, 2000 is not applicable to the M16C/80T MCUs. (It is applied
only to the M16C/80 group.)
If you have already applied for the replacement, contact your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor directly.
If you want to repair M30800T-RPD-E used for the M16C/80T group, please spell out that your pod is for the M16C/80T group in your request sheet. If you already requested the repair of your product before and after this September, contact your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor directly.

- * You requested the repair of your pod before and after this September; however, you are using the pod for the M16C/80T group.
