- Problem
- If the above pods are used at a frequency of 16 MHz, any of the following symptoms may occur as their internal temperatures rise:
- (1) The program goes into improper operation about ten minutes after turning on the emulator power supply.
- (2) Breaks occur at addresses where no breakpoints have been set.
- (3) An LED turns on, indicating address 00000h has been incorrectly accessed.
Note: The reproducibility of these symptoms varies with the environment in which the pod is used and the variation between device parameters.
- Probable Cause
The probable cause is that as the internal temperature of the pod rises, the read margin of the emulation memory decreases, resulting in read errors.
- Temporary Measure
Remove the lid at the top of the pod and cool the inside of the pod with the forced circulation of air by fan, for example.
- How to Remodel Pods
The products concerned are remodeled free of charge. Please fill in "M306N0TB-RPD-E Remodeling Application Form" and send your pod to your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor with the filled-in application form enclosed in it.
