M34502T-MCU
Precaution

Please take note of the following problem in using MCU board M34502T-MCU for the 4501, 4502, 4506, 4507, and 4580 groups in the 4500 series MCUs.
* On the states of output pins in the RAM backup mode

  1. Product Concerned
    M34502T-MCU: MCU board for the 4501, 4502, 4506, 4507, and 4580 groups in the 4500 series MCUs

  2. Problem
In the RAM backup mode, the states of output pins D, P0, and P1 of M34502T-MCU are different from those of the actual MCU.

States of Pins D, P0, and P1 in RAM Backup Mode
Actual MCU In RAM backup mode, these output pins maintain its previous state
M34502T-MCU In RAM backup mode, these output pins are all pulled High regardless of their previous states

    2.1 Example
If the RAM backup mode is entered while any of the D, P0, and P1 pins is in the Low level, all of these output pins are pulled High, and upon leaving the RAM backup mode, they restore the output states prior to entering the RAM backup mode.

  3. Workaround
When evaluating the system in which the RAM backup mode is entered while any of the D, P0, and P1 pins is Low, be sure to use an evaluation MCU (an OTP version).
