PD308, PD30, PD79, PD77, and PD38 Upgraded Versions Announcement

This is to announce that emulator debuggers have been upgraded as follows:
| PD308 V.2.10 Release 1 | for the M16C/80 series MCUs |
| PD30 V.5.10 Release 1 | for the M16C/60 and 20 series MCUs |
| PD79 V.3.10 Release 1 | for the 7900 series MCUs |
| PD77 V.3.10 Release 1 | for the 77xx series MCUs |
| PD38 V.4.10 Release 1 | for the 740 family MCUs |

Descriptions of Upgrade
- 1.1 New Features
- (1) Capable of running on Windows 2000
- (2) Functions of setting software breakpoints on internal flash memory and rewriting the memory's contents (Set/Fill/Move) provided (PD79 only)
- (3) Watchdog timer disabling function introduced (PD79 only)
- 1.2 Problems Fixed
- The following known problems have been fixed:
- (1) If the Line Assemble dialog box is closed with the NOP check box being checked, the emulator debugger will not work properly.

- (2) Clicking the MPL button in the MR window may display Windows' error message "This program has performed an illegal operation....".(Fixed only in PD308, PD30, and PD79.)

Precautions" issued on June 1, 2000.
- (3) Incorrect results of measurements may be displayed in the MR trace and MR analyze windows if an OS-dependent interrupt is serviced during the processing of the ret_int system call. (This problem occurs only in PD308 and PD30.)

- (4) Displays of time in the Task trace and Task analyze windows may become incorrect if the operating clock of the target MCU is used as the resource of time measurement. (This problem occurs only in PD308 PD30, PD77, and PD38.)

- (5) Displays of time in the trace window and by the TraceData command may become incorrect. (Fixed only in PD308.)

- (6) When the window is re-opened after switching the display font to a specific one, "Courier" for example, characters cannot be displayed with the selected font.

- (7) In IEEE-695 absolute format files created by IAR's C compiler ICC7700 (EW7700), the part of programs beyond address 100000h cannot correctly be downloaded. (Fixed only in PD77.)

- (8) No include files that contain instruction code can be selected among the list of source files in the Source dialog box (for selecting the source file to be displayed). (Fixed only in PD38.)

- (9) In the C watch, global, file local, and local windows, displaying variables in a structure or union may results in the program being forced to terminate if the names of the structure's or union's members contain more than 1024 characters in total.
