Announcement
Free Replacement of MCU
Mounted in Emulation Pod (M30800T-RPD-E)
for M16C/80 Series MCUs
--Additional Information--

This is to repeatedly announce that the evaluation MCU mounted in emulation pod M30800T-RPD-E for the M16C/80 series MCUs will be replaced with its updated version free of charge because there have been found several omissions in the list of the products concerned.

  1. Products Concerned
All the products whose lot numbers are shown below are concerned with this replacement.

    Notes:
*1. Those lot numbers shown at the last of the above table have been omitted in MESC TOOL NEWS issued on September 1.
*2. The products whose lot number ends in character D and is within a range of 0II200C -- 0II249C are not concerned because the updated MCU has already been mounted.

  2. Description of Updated MCU
As the operation of the interrupt control register of the M16C/80 group MCUs has been changed, the way of resolving priority among interrupt requests in the evaluation MCU has been updated as follows:

    Updated Version:
When two or more interrupt requests which have the same priority level are sampled active at the time of priority resolution, they are arbitrated in such a way that the interrupt which has the highest hardware priority is prioritized over the other interrupts.

    Previous Version:
When two or more interrupt requests which have the same priority level are sampled active at the time of priority resolution, they are arbitrated in such a way that the first interrupt requested has priority.
    * The evaluation MCUs mounted in the products concerned are involved in this previous version. So, if your product is included in the above list, care must be exercised until its evaluation MCU is replaced.
