NC79WA V.4.10 Release 1
Upgraded Version Announcement

This is to announce that C compiler NC79WA (with an assembler and integrated development environment) for the 7900 series MCUs has been upgraded from its V.4.00 Release 1 to V.4.10 Release 1.

  1. Descriptions of Upgrade
    1.1 New Features
(1)Incrementing and decrementing pointer variables of type far and assigning constants to successive areas further optimized
(2)Function-extending #pragma directive TBLJMPOFF introduced (this function warns that the table jump code created using the -fswitch_table[-fST] option spreads across the bank boundary)
(3)Capable of assigning pointer variables using the DPnDATA declaration utility with no option selected

    1.2 Problems Fixed
(1)Assigning the address of a function to a variable of type pointer to another function results in a System Error being generated if the types of both functions are different from each other.
For details refer to MESC TOOL NEWS "NC308WA, NC30WA, NC79WA, NC77WA Precautions" issued on July 16, 2000.
(2)The total size of ROM displayed on-screen at completion of linking may differ from the one outputted to the MAP file.
    For details refer to MESC TOOL NEWS "NC308WA, NC30WA, NC79WA, AS308, AS30, and AS79Precautions" issued on October 1, 2000.
(3)If the condition expression in an if statement comprises two or more expressions testing a bit field each and performs the logical AND operation of them, incorrect code will be generated.
