Upgrade of Emulation Pod M30800T-RPD-E
to the One for M30803/M30805 MCUs

This is to announce the extra-charge upgrade of emulation pod M30800T-RPD-E to M30803T-RPD-E, both for the M16C/80 series of MCUs.

- Description of Upgrade
- The upgraded product, M30803T-RPD-E, is capable of debugging target MCUs with up to 24 Kbytes of on-chip RAM.

- (1) MCUs Supported
- M16C/80 group MCUs (M30800, M30802, M30803, and M30805)
- (2) Power Supplies for Target System
- Vcc = 2.7V -- 5.5V at 10 MHz (0 wait states)
- Vcc = 5.0V -- 5.5V at 20 MHz (0 wait states)
- (3) Maximum Size of RAM/ROM To Be Debugged
- RAM: 24 Kbytes
- ROM: 256 Kbytes

- (1) M30803T-RPD-E needs optional conversion board FLX-144NSD to debug the M30802 and M30805 MCUs.
- (2) M30803T-RPD-E, either fabricated or upgraded, is dedicated to the M16C/80 group MCUs only; it cannot be used for the M16C/80T group ones.
- (3) In this upgrade, mounted in the emulation pod is the same kind of MCU as the one that has been used for replacement in M30800T-RPD-E.

- How to Upgrade Current Product
- (1) Fill in the appended "M30803T-RPD-E Upgrade Application Form" and send it by E-mail to your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor.
- (2) Then, send your M30800T-RPD-E product to them, enclosing the filled-in "M30803T-RPD-E Upgrade Application Form" in it.
- (3) We will ship back your product upon upgrading and checking it.
- Effective Date of Application
- From March 12, 2001, to March 15, 2002, inclusive (received)
* If circumstances prevent you from sending your product within the above date, please contact your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor.
- Notices
(1) If your pod does not work properly, a charge will be made for repairing it.
(2) We will not be able to supply you with another pod for the upgrade.
