TM
Precaution

Please take note of the following problems in using integrated development environment TM:
  • On build after changing the output directory
  • On changing project names or output directories

  1. Problem on Build after Changing the Output Directory
    1.1 Versions Concerned
    TM V.3.00 -- V.3.11

    1.2 Description
When the output directory has been changed to a new one, compile errors will arise at build because TM does not automatically create the new directory to which files are output by the compiler.

    1.3 Condition
This problem occurs if build is performed after the output directory has been changed to the new one by altering the character string of the OUTDIR variable using the macro-browser function.

    1.4 Workaround
    Manually create the output directory.

1.5 Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release.

  2. Problem on Changing Project Names or Output Directories
    2.1 Versions Concerned
    TM V.3.00 -- V.3.10

    2.2 Description
If build is performed after changing project names or output directories, execution of the inspector, MapViewer and STKViewer (both included with the package of the compiler) result in the following faults:
    • The Execute button of the inspector cannot be pressed down
    • MapViewer, if executed, terminates with an error message displayed
    • STKViewer, if executed, opens its window with an error message and no data being displayed

    2.3 Condition
This problem occurs if build is performed after the character string of the PROJECT or OUTDIR variable has been changed by the macro-browser function.

    2.4 Workaround
This problem was fixed in TM V.3.11 released on April 16, 2001.

2.5 Schedule of Fixing the Problem
    Use TM V.3.11.
For details, refer to MAEC TOOL NEWS "TM V.3.11 Upgraded Version Announcement" issued on April 16, 2001.
