PD308SIM and PD30SIM Upgraded Versions Announcement
|
This is to announce that the following simulator debuggers have been upgraded:
- PD308SIM V.3.00 Release 1 for the M16C/80 and M32C/80 series MCUs
- PD30SIM V.5.00 Release 1 for the M16C/60 and M16C/20 series MCUs
- Descriptions of Upgrade
- 1.1 New Features
- (1) Supports the M32C/80 series MCUs (PD308SIM only)
- (2) Supports the trace function of recording and referencing the history of program execution
- (3) Displays the output results of C compiler's standard output function "printf"
- (4) Capable of inputting bits and plural bytes using GUI input function
- (5) Provides a dialog box for easily setting periodically generated timer interrupts
- (6) Displays measured program execution time on the taskbar
- (7) Reads files and sets events with Drag and Drop
- (8) Source files editable on the Program and Source windows
- (9) Allows you to save MIX displays on the Program and Source windows into files
- (10) Automatically updates the position of the address for referencing memory in the Memory window according to the position of the stack pointer
- (11) With novel design of Toolbar's buttons (reduction of size etc.)
- 1.2 Problems Fixed
- The following known problems have been fixed:
- (1) In the ASM Watch window, modifying memory data using watch points of 2 or 4 bytes wide beginning at an odd address may cause communication protocol errors to occur.

- (2) Bit symbols declared as global by the .BTGLB directive in the assembler source program may not be available.

- (3) Clicking the MPL button in the MR window may display Windows' error message, forcing termination of the program.

- (4) During displaying the Source dialog box in the Program or Source window (opened by using View --> Source button or menu), Windows' error message appears, forcing termination of the program.

- (5) In the C Watch, Global, File Local, and Local windows, displaying a structure the names of whose members contain more than 1024 characters in total results in forcing termination of the program.

- (6) When referencing register variables of 32 bits wide in the C Watch and Local windows as well as the print command, their values cannot correctly be displayed.
