Please take note of the following problems in using relocatable assembler M3T-SRA74 for the 740 family MCUs:
- On the total number of characters of a line in source files processed by sra74
- On symbol file conversions in cv74
- Problem on the Total Number of Characters of a Line in Source Files Processed by sra74
- 1.1 Product and Version Concerned
- Structured relocatable macro assembler sra74 V.4.10.00 included in relocatable assembler M3T-SRA74 V.4.10 Release 1 for the 740 family MCUs
- 1.2 Description
- If the total number of characters of any line in a source file exceeds 255 (except for comment lines), the line may not correctly be assembled, and an error will arise in sra74 or link74.
- 1.3 Workaround
- Limit the total number of characters of a line to 255 (except for comment lines).
- Problem on Symbol File Conversions in cv74
- 2.1 Product and Version Concerned
- File conversion tool cv74 V.1.00.01 for the M37280 MCU included in relocatable assembler M3T-SRA74 V.4.00 Release 3 through V.4.10 Release 1 for the 740 family MCUs
- 2.2 Description
- If any global bit symbol exists in a symbol file, cv74 fails to convert the file to the one that can be handled by debuggers, resulting in the following error message being displayed.
Error: Symbol file line characters exceed
- 2.3 Workaround
- When making a file conversion by cv74, place a new-line code immediately after the last character of the final line in the symbol file in advance.
