A Note on Real-Time OS

Please take note of the following problem in using real-time OS M3T-MR308 for the M32C/80 and M16C/80 series MCUs:
- On limitations imposed when M3T-MR308 is used for the M32C/82 and 83 group MCUs
- Versions Concerned

- Descriptions
The following limitations are imposed when M3T-MR308 is used for the M32C/82 and 83 group MCUs:
- (1) Time intervals of timer interrupts the system timer can use must satisfy the condition below.
A time interval of timer interrupts x clock frequency <= 65535 x 8
- For example, when the system is operating at a clock frequency of 20 MHz, each time interval of timer interrupts must be equal to or less than 26.214 ms.
- (2) If intelligent I/O interrupt 11 or CAN interrupt 2 is used, the following functions are disabled:
- Mailbox function (only when message size is 32 bits long)
- Variable-length memory pool function
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix limitation (2) above in our next release.
