A Note on Emulator Debuggers M3T-PD79, M3T-PD77, and M3T-PD38
|
Please take note of the following problem in using emulator debuggers M3T-PD79,M3T-PD77, and M3T-PD38:
- On using an LPT parallel interface
- Products and Versions Concerned
M3T-PD79 V.4.10 Release 1 for the 79xx series of MCUs
M3T-PD77 V.4.10 Release 1 for the 77xx series of MCUs
M3T-PD38 V.5.10 Release 1 for the 740 family of MCUs
- Description
At the installation of the products concerned, information necessary to making effective the mlptdrv2.sys device driver for LTP parallel interfaces cannot be written into Windows' registry. Then, when an LTP parallel interface is used, communication errors may arise at launching the emulator debugger
- Conditions
- This problem may occur if the following two conditions are satisfied:
- (1) The operating system is Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows NT 4.0.
- (2) An LPT parallel interface is selected.
- Workaround
- This problem will be circumvented in either of the following ways:
