A Note on Emulator Debugger M3T-PD308F
|
Please take note of the following problem in using the M3T-PD308F emulator debugger for the M32C/80 series of MCUs:
- On designating an interrupt generation as an event at setting a hardware breakpoint or trace point
- Versions Concerned
- M3T-PD308F V.1.00 Release 1 and V.2.00 Release 1
- Note that this problem occurs when either of the above versions of the emulator debugger is used as a component of the PC7501 emulator system along with the following products:
| Emulator : | PC7501 for the M16C family |
| Emulation probe : | M30830T-EPB for the M32C/81, M32C/82, and M32C/83 group |
- Description
When an interrupt generation is designated as an event in the Hardware Breakpoint Setting or Trace Point Setting window of the M3T-PD308F as follows, the specified hardware breakpoint or trace point cannot perform its function:
- INTERRUPT is selected in the [Event Type] list box.
- Then, the Occurrence option button is selected in the [Interrupt] group box that appears.
- Workaround
When designating an interrupt generation as the event of a hardware breakpoint or trace point, set up the Hardware Break point Setting or Trace Point Setting Window as follows:
- Select DATA ACCESS in the [Event Type] list box.
Then a dialog box opens which contains the [Address] and [Data] tabs.
- Click the [Address] tab and type the vector address at which you want to detect an interrupt generation in the tab.
- Click the [Data] tab; the [Range] and [Access] list boxes appear in the tab.
- Select Not Specify in the [Range] list box.
- Next, select READ in the [Access] list box.
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the product.
