A Note on MCU Board M34502T-MCU
|
Please take note of the following problem in using MCU board M34502T-MCU for the 4501, 4502, 4506, 4507, and 4580 groups in the 4500 series MCUs:
- On using the P12/CNTR pin as the input pin of CNTR signals
- Product Concerned
M34502T-MCU
- Description
When the P12/CNTR pin of the M34502T-MCU board is used as the input pin of the event-counting clocks to timer 2 (that is, as the timer input pin), clocks cannot properly be counted.
Notes:
- This problem arises only in the emulator and does not in the actual MCU.
- This problem does not arise when the P12/CNTR pin is used as the P12 I/O port pin or the output pin of CNTR signals (as the timer output pin).
- Temporary Solution
When you want to debug and evaluate target systems that need timer input, please use the OTP version of the target MCU instead of the M34502T-MCU board.
The schedule of fixing this problem will be notified on MAEC TOOL NEWS at a later date when made up.
