New Companies Established

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation and Hitachi, Limited established an LSI-manufacturing company, Renesas Technology Corporation, and transferred their
activities in this field to the new company on this April 1. According to this business transfer, Mitsubishi Electric Semiconductor Application
Engineering Corporation, a member of the Mitsubishi Electric group, joined the new Renesas Technology group and changed its name to Renesas Solutions Corporation on the same day.

Renesas Technology Corp. today announced it has officially separated from Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE:6501, NYSE:HIT) and
Mitsubishi ElectricCorporation (TSE:6503), and commenced operations as the world's leading System LSI company.
Dr. Koichi Nagasawa has been appointed Chairman & CEO, and Satoru Ito was appointed as President & COO.

Mitsubishi Electric Semiconductor Application Engineering Corporation has changed its name
to Renesas Solutions Corporation (President Kannichi Harima) as an application engineering company
in the Renesas Technology group.
We, Renesas Solutions Corp., are engaged in field application engineering furnishing up-to-date system
solutions and offer hotline technical support and various information useful to you, as before.
We would much appreciate your continued patronage to our activities as well as our MCUs and development tools.
In the following, we inform you of the changes made concerning to our
department name, the tool home page address, our various E-mail
