A Note on Using
Integrated Development Environment High-performance Embedded Workshop
(On the Navigation Function)

Please take note of the following problem in using the High-performance Embedded Workshop, an integrated development environment:
  • On the navigation function

  1. Versions Concerned
    (1)High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.0 (release 21)
    (2)High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.01 (release 1) bundled with the M3T-NC30WA V.5.20 Release 1
(3)High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.01 (release 1) bundled with the M3T-NC30WA (Free version for R8C/Tiny only)

  2. Description
When the High-performance Embedded Workshop is launched and the work space is first opened, the PC's CPU usage may stay in 100 percent. If the High-performance Embedded Workshop is closed under this condition, an application error may arise.

  3. Workaround
In the products with the versions concerned, the navigation function is enabled in the default settings. Then, disable it by performing the following steps:
(1)Launch the High-performance Embedded Workshop and click the Cancel button in the Welcome! dialog box.
(2)Click the Navigation tab in the Project window to display the Navigation window.
(3)Right-click within the Navigation window. A pop-up menu appears.
(4)Click the Select Categories command to display the Select Categories dialog box.
(5)Uncheck the check boxes of all the categories to scan in the Categories list.

  4. Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the product.
