A Note on Using Integrated Development Environment High-performance Embedded Workshop (On the Navigation Function)
|
Please take note of the following problem in using the High-performance Embedded Workshop, an integrated development environment:
- On the navigation function
- Versions Concerned
| (1) | High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.0 (release 21) |
| (2) | High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.01 (release 1) bundled with the M3T-NC30WA V.5.20 Release 1 |
| (3) | High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.01 (release 1) bundled with the M3T-NC30WA (Free version for R8C/Tiny only) |
- Description
When the High-performance Embedded Workshop is launched and the work space is first opened, the PC's CPU usage may stay in 100 percent. If the High-performance Embedded Workshop is closed under this condition, an application error may arise.
- Workaround
In the products with the versions concerned, the navigation function is enabled in the default settings. Then, disable it by performing the following steps:
| (1) | Launch the High-performance Embedded Workshop and click the Cancel button in the Welcome! dialog box. |
| (2) | Click the Navigation tab in the Project window to display the Navigation window. |
| (3) | Right-click within the Navigation window. A pop-up menu appears. |
| (4) | Click the Select Categories command to display the Select Categories dialog box. |
| (5) | Uncheck the check boxes of all the categories to scan in the Categories list. |
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the product.
