We inform you of the extra-charge upgrade of the M37641T-RPD-E emulation
pod for the 7640, 7641 group to the one for the 7641 and 7643 group MCUs.

- Description of Upgrade
The upgraded M37641T-RPD-E enables you to debug the 7641 and 7643 group MCUs. Main specifications after upgrade are as follows:

The upgraded pod cannot be used for debugging the 7640 group MCUs. |

- How to Upgrade Your Product

Fill in the appended "M37641T-RPD-E Extra-Charge Upgrade Application Form" and send it by e-mail or FAX to your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor. |

At the same time, let them know the following ordering information:

Then, send your M37641T-RPD-E product to them, with the filled-in application form enclosed in it. |
- Effective Date of Application
From December 1, 2003, to November 30, 2004, inclusive
(If circumstances prevent you from sending your application form and product within the above date, please contact your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor.)
- Shipment of the Upgraded Product
We will ship back your product upon upgrading and checking it.
It will take 10 working days or more to upgrade your product (except for the transportation period).
- Notices
| (1) | If your pod does not work properly, an additional charge will be made for repairing it. |
| (2) | We will not be able to supply you with another pod for the period of time of upgrade. |
