A Note on Using Cross-Tool Kit M3T-CC32R V.4.20 Release 1
--On Rebuilding Standard Libraries--
|
Please take note of the following problem in using the M3T-CC32R cross-tool
kit for the M32R family MCUs:
- On rebuilding standard libraries in the Windows version
- Version Concerned
M3T-CC32R V.4.20 Release 1 Windows version
- Description
Standard libraries can be rebuilt by rewriting the BUILD.bat file (*1) contained in the product as described in Section 9.2
"How to Rebuild Standard Libraries" in the part of C compilers of the user's manual.
If so, however, incorrect libraries will be built so that an error saying
"external symbol not defined" will arise for several standard functions at linking,
and linking will not properly be performed.
NOTE:
| *1 |
The BUILD.bat file is a script (procedural) file for building standard libraries using their source files contained in the M3T-CC32R.
The BUILD.bat file operates as a batch file when typed on the command line.
|
The current BUILD.bat file causes this problem: because it does not come with the descriptions for adding some object modules to standard libraries,
incorrect libraries are built.
However, if you use the standard libraries contained in the product as they are, this problem does not occur.
- Workaround
We supply the problem-fixed BUILD.bat file. Please download BUILD.zip (4.03KB).
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the product.
