A Note on Using
Integrated Development Environment High-performance Embedded Workshop

Please take note of the following problem in using the High-performance Embedded Workshop, an integrated development environment:

High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.0.06 (release 2) |
- NOTE:
- The problem explained below occurs if the High-performance Embedded Workshop is used in combination with the M3T-NC30WA V.5.20 Release 1;
it does not arise in the M3T-NC30WA V.5.30 Release 1, upgraded on this March 16.
- Description
When you click the Options menu to set build options,
the Renesas M16C Standard Toolchain dialog box appears.
This dialog box comes with several tabs for setting build options,
and each tab contains an Options xx text box at its bottom (for example, the C tab does the Options C text).
If you enter into an Options xx text box a character or character string that has not yet been defined as one of the standard options of the toolchain,
the High-performance Embedded Workshop may terminate unsuccessfully.
- Workaround
Don't enter any undefined option to any Options xx text box.

We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the product.
