A Note on Using
Integrated Development Environment High-performance Embedded Workshop
--On the Tag Jump Function--

Please take note of the following problem in using the High-performance Embedded Workshop, an integrated development environment:
  • On the tag jump function when build errors arise

  1. Products and Versions Concerned
    (1) High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.01 (release 1)
    bundled with the M3T-NC30WA V.5.20 Release 1 (released on September 1, 2003)
    (2) High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.01(release 1)
    bundled with the R8C/Tiny-only Free-version Compiler (M3T-NC30WA V.5.20 Release 1) (released on September 1, 2003)
    (3) High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.0.02 (release 5)
    bundled with the M3T-CC32R V.4.20 Release 1 (released on November 16, 2003)
    (4) High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.0.06 (release 2)
    bundled with the M3T-NC308WA V.5.20 Release 1 (released on March 16, 2004)
    (5) High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.0.06 (release 2)
    bundled with the M3T-NC30WA V.5.30 Release 1 (released on March 16, 2004)
    (6) High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.0.02 (release 5),
High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.0.05 (release 1), and
    High-performance Embedded Workshop Version 3.0.06 (release 2)
updated from the High-performance Embedded Workshop shown in (1) or (3) above using the updater.

  2. Description
In the Output window, no tag jump is made by double-clicking an error or warning message displayed as a build error. Also, these build errors are not counted as errors or warnings displayed at the end of the build.

  3. Conditions
This problem occurs for the error or warning messages generated by the assembler if errors exist in any of the following descriptions:
(1)An assembly-language description in the area between a #pragma ASM and a #pragma ENDASM directive
    (2)A description in a #pragma __ASMMACRO directive
(3)An assembly-language description in an asm function; that is, a description within the double quotations in an asm(" ")

  4. Workaround
If an error or warning message is generated by the assembler, open the source file indicated by the message using the Edit window or an external editor and modify it.

  5. Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the products.
