A Note on Using E7 Emulator Software
|
Please take note of the following problem in using the E7 Emulator Software:
- On opening source files using the Editor window of the High-performance Embedded Workshop
- Versions Concerned
The E7 emulator software V.2.0.01, V.2.0.02 and V.2.1.00
- Description
When a target program developed for any of the R8C/Tiny series MCUs is debugged using a product concerned,
the High-performance Embedded Workshop may display incorrect addresses in the Source Address column at the left of its Editor window or terminate unsuccessfully.
- Condition
This problem occurs if a source file with line information is linked after another source file without that(*)
and then the latter is opened in the Editor window.
NOTE:
| * |
For instance, a source file in which only the inclusion of header files is described. |
- Workaround
This problem can be circumvented in either of the following ways:
| (1) | Add a dummy source code to the source file without line information. |
| (2) | Link the source file without line information after any of those with line information. |
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the product (the E7 emulator software V.3.2.00).
