A Note on Using
the Tiny/SLP E7 Emulator Software
--On Downloading a Firmware File to the Data Flash Area--

Please take note of the following problem in using the Tiny/SLP E7 Emulator
Software:
- On downloading a firmware file to the data flash area
- Versions Concerned
Tiny/SLP E7 Emulator Software V.2.3.01 and later
- Description
Assume that a firmware file has been downloaded to the data flash area
of the R5F21124 MCU belonging to the R8C/12 group or the R5F21134 to the
R8C/13, and then the High-performance Embedded Workshop, an integrated development environment, has
been launched. Under such conditions, clearing the Data Area Access
Enable bit PM10 (bit 0 of address 05h) to 0 (that is, disabled) during
executing or debugging the user program causes a timeout error to arise.
- Workaround
If a firmware file is downloaded to the data flash area, don't
clear PM10 to 0.
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
Sorry that this problem is unavoidable in the Tiny/SLP E7 Emulator
Software.
