- Description
It is impossible to set an IP address and others in the emulator
using the SetIp.exe file included with any of the products concerned
because information on the emulator connected to the network (its
serial number and the MAC address *) is not displayed.
NOTE:
* An identification number given to a device connected to the network
- 2.1 Conditions
- This problem occurs if the following two conditions are satisfied:
| (1) |
Windows XP is running on the host PC. |
| (2) |
Any of the following emulators are used.
(a) PC4701U
(b) PC7501
(c) M32100T2-SDI-E
|
| NOTICE |
: |
The PC4701HS and PC4700H emulators are not supported by
the SetIp.exe file. To set an IP address and others in these
emulators, use the Init dialog box as explained in Workaround (2). |
- Workaround
This problem can be circumvented in either of the following ways:
| (1) |
Download the problem-fixed SetIp.exe (208KB) file
and save it to the Utility folder under the directory where the
emulator debugger has been installed.
Then, set the IP address and others using this problem-fixed
SetIp.exe file.
|
| (2) |
Connect the emulator with the PC via a communication interface
such as USB, not LAN, and then set the IP address using the Init
dialog box of the emulator debugger.
For details of setting an IP address using the Init dialog box,
see the user's manual of your emulator debugger or its online
help.
|
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the products by
including the problem-fixed SetIp.exe file with them.
