A Note on Using Integrated Development Environment High-performance Embedded Workshop
--On Syntax Coloring of Specified Character Strings--
|
Please take note of the following problem in using the High-performance Embedded Workshop, an integrated
development environment:
- On syntax coloring of specified character strings
- Products Concerned
The High-performance Embedded Workshop V.3.01.02 and V.3.01.04 used in combination with he following products:
M3T-NC308WA V.5.20 Release 1 C-compiler package
for the M32C/80 and M16C/80 series MCUs
M3T-NC30WA V.5.20 Release 1 and V.5.30 Release 1 C-compiler packages
for the M16C/60, M16C/30, M16C/Tiny, M16C/20, M16C/10, and
R8C/Tiny series MCUs
M3T-NC8C V.5.30 Release 1 C-compiler package
for the R8C/Tiny series MCUs
- Description
When files written in assembler language are opened in the High-performance Embedded Workshop's
Editor window, syntax coloring may not function properly.
- Conditions
This problem occur if you use the following steps:
| (1) |
A new project is created. |
| (2) |
If no assembler files are registered yet in the project created, they are registered. |
| (3) |
Either of the products concerned (the High-performance Embedded Workshop V.3.01.02 and V.3.01.04)
and its updater are installed into another PC. |
| (4) |
Immediately after the installation in (3), the project created is
copied and opened in the PC in (3). |
- Workarounds
This problem can be circumvented as shown below.
- 4.1 In the case you have already experienced the problem
- Follow these steps:
| (1) |
Delete the *.dbs and *.shl files saved in the \SYSTEM\TC\RENESAS\M16C
(or M32C or R8C) directory where the High-performance Embedded Workshop has been installed. |
| (2) |
After the deletion, once create a new project. This project can be
deleted with no problem. |
- 4.2 In the case projects created are copied into another PC
- Immediately after installing either of the products concerned and its
updater, create another project once and then copy the already-created
project to use. The project created before copying the already-created
one can be deleted with no harm.
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the High-performance Embedded Workshop.
