A Note on Using Integrated Development Environment High-performance Embedded Workshop
--On Selecting an External Debugger at Creating Projects--
|
Please take note of the following problem in using the High-performance Embedded Workshop, an integrated
development environment:
- On selecting an external debugger at creating projects
- Products Concerned
The High-performance Embedded Workshops included with the following product:
M3T-NC8C V.5.30 Release 1 C-compiler package for the R8C/Tiny series MCUs
- Description
The name of the M3T-PD30SIM simulator debugger does not appear in the
External Debugger list box in the NewProject-5/6-Setting the Target
System for Debugging dialog box, which appears on the fifth page of
the New Project Workspace dialog box by clicking the Next button.
- Workaround
When the M3T-PD30SIM used, go through the following steps to specify any external debugger:
| (1) | Open the Tools menu and select the Customize menu. The Customize dialog box appears. |
| (2) | Click the Debugger tab. |
| (3) | Select "Mitsubishi PD debugger" in the Select External debugger selected combo box. |
| (4) | Type the full-path name of the M3T-PD30SIM's executable file in the Location of the PD debugger location text box. |
| (5) | Type $(CONFIGDIR)\$(PROJECTNAME).x30 in the Download module text box. |
| (6) | Click the OK button. |
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the High-performance Embedded Workshop.
