A Note on Using
C-Compiler Package M3T-NC30WA
--On Using an Assembler Option "-P"--

Please take note of the following problem in using the M3T-NC30WA C-compiler
package for the M16C/60, M16C/30, M16C/Tiny, M16C/20, M16C/10, and R8C/Tiny
series in the M16C family MCUs:
- On using an assembler option "-P"
- Versions Concerned
M3T-NC30WA V.5.20 Release 1 and V.5.30 Release 1
- Description
If assembler option "-P" that processes structured description
instructions and option "-R8C" that generates codes for the R8C/Tiny
series are selected simultaneously, the assembler sends the error
message shown below and discontinues the processing. So structured
description instructions cannot be processed.
Error (as30.exe): Specifies option that can't use with '-R8C'
- Workaround
Download the compressed modified assembler driver file (as30.zip; 30.9KB)
and substitute the decompressed file for your current as30.exe file.
When the M3T-NC30WA has been installed by default, the as30.exe file is
saved in the \mtool\bin folder in Windows.
