Compact Emulator (WS) and Emulation Probe (WS)
for the M16C/26A, M16C/28, and
M16C/29 Group MCUs Upgraded Free of Charge

We notify that your compact emulator (WS) and emulation probe (WS) for the
M16C/26A, M16C/28 and M16C/29 Groups (the M16C/Tiny series) will be upgraded
free of charge. (The emulation probe is used together with the PC7501 emulator.)
- Products Concerned
The following products to which label "WS TOOL" is affixed are concerned:

The upgraded products give the same performance as the volume-produced ones.

Application for the upgrade
Fill in the appended "Compact Emulator (WS) and Emulation Probe
(WS) for the M16C/Tiny Series Free-of-Charge Upgrade Application
Form" and send it by e-mail or FAX to your local Renesas Technology
sales office or distributor.
We will deliver you an M30290T-EPBM MCU board for upgrading by return.
This MCU board is used in common for all the products concerned.

Replacement of the MCU board
- Replace your M30290T-EPBM MCU board with the delivered one by
following the instructions described in the manual included with
the latter, and make sure that your compact emulator or emulation
probe operates properly.
- If successful, send your previous board back to your local Renesas
Technology sales office or distributor, or discard it.
- Though the "WS TOOL" label has also been affixed to every parts of
the products concerned, all the parts except the previous board are
the same as the volume-produced ones. So peel them off if you like.

- Effective Date of Application
From November 1, 2004 through October 31, 2005 (to be received by us)
If circumstances prevent you from sending your application form
within the above date, please contact your local Renesas Technology
sales office or distributor.
