development environment:
- On unloading ELF/DWARF2-formatted load modules
- Version Concerned
The High-performance Embedded Workshop V.3.01.06 included with the following products and the one
updated from any of the earlier versions using the hewv3161u.exe file
for updating.

- Description
Unloading load modules generated in the ELF/DWARF2 format results in the High-performance Embedded Workshop's abnormal termination.
- 2.1 Conditions
- This problem occurs if the following conditions are all satisfied:
| (1) | The version (*) of the ElfDwarf2 Object reader (one of the High-performance Embedded Workshop's components) is 2.5.01.000. |
| (2) | A variable defined by typedef is viewed in the Watch, Local, or Stack Trace window. |
| (3) | A load module is unloaded within the following steps: |
- Open the Debug menu and select Unload. You see a list of load
module files. Then select a load module name in it to unload the load module.
- Open the Debug menu and select Download. You see the list of
load module files again. Then select the load module name in it
to re-download the load module.
- Open the Debug menu and select Initialize to initialize the debugging platform for setting the target CPU.
- Open the Debug menu and select Disconnect to disconnect the debugging platform.
- Open the File menu and select Close Workspace.
- Open the File menu and select Close Application.
* How to Check for the Version No.

- Workaround
This problem can be circumvented in either of the following ways:
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
In our next release of the compilers concerned, we plan to include
the problem-fixed High-performance Embedded Workshop with them.
