New MCU Groups Supported
by Compact Emulator M38000T2-CPE

We have added new MCU groups to the line supported by the M38000T2-CPE compact emulator.
- Description
The M38000T2-CPE, which emulates the 740 family MCUs, newly supports the
three MCU groups shown in the table below. The table also lists their
respective emulator MCUs and MCU files.

Each MCU file can be downloaded from HERE (163 KB). |
To debug any MCU in the above MCU groups, you need to update your
M38000A1.C0 firmware file from Ver.1.02.00 to Ver.1.03.00. How to
update it is briefly explained below.

Download the updated firm.exe file (163 KB). |

Decompress the firm.exe file, and then follow the steps shown in
Readme_e.txt to update your firmware file. |
Note that if you don't use any MCU in the above MCU groups, you need
not update your firmware file; use the M38000A1.C0 Ver.1.02.00.
This firmware file and the MCU files used together with it are
downloadable from RENESAS TOOL NEWS "New MCU Groups Supported by Compact Emulator M38000T2-CPE"
issued on March 1, 2004.
