Free of Charge Upgrade of Compact Emulators for the 4500 Series of MCUs

We notify that compact emulators for the 4500 series, the M34519T2-CPE and M34552T2-CPE, will be upgraded free of charge.

Products Concerned

(1)

The M34519T2-CPEs (for the 4518, 4519, 4583, and 4584 groups) that bear the following lot nos. :

3CS001 through 3CS020, 4AS0021 through 4AS0030, and
4BS0031 through 4BS0040

(2)

The M34552T2-CPEs (for the 4552, 4553, and 4556 groups) that bear the following lot nos.:

3FS001 through 3FS020, 4AS0021 through 4AS0030,
4BS0031 through 4BS0040, and 4CS0041 through 4CS0060

Lot nos. are inscribed on the rear of the products.
The products whose lot nos. end with an alphabet have already been upgraded.

Description of Upgrade
The problem described in RENESAS TOOL NEWS "A Note on Using Compact Emulators and MCU Boards for the 4500 MCU Series" has been resolved.

Note that, however, for several seconds after power-on of the emulator, the problem retains.

We will inform you of the upgrade of the MCU boards for the PC4504 emulator (M34519T-MCU and M34524T-MCU) as soon as we are ready on our news.

How to Upgrade Your Products
Apply for the upgrade as follows:

(1)	Fill in the appended free-of-charge upgrade application form and send it by e-mail or FAX to us.
(2)	Send back your product with the application form enclosed to us.
(3)	We will ship back your product upon upgrading and checking it.

SEND TO: Your local Renesas Technology sales office or distributor

Notices

(1)	We will not be able to supply you with another emulator for the period of time of upgrade (about 10 working days or more except for the transportation period).
(2)	If your emulator does not work properly, an additional charge will be made for repairing it.

Effective Date of Application
From December 1, 2004, to March 31, 2005, inclusive
