A Note on Using
the High-performance Embedded Workshop
(an Integrated Development Environment)

Please take note of the following problem in using High-performance
Embedded Workshop:

On Incorrect Installation of the UBROF.DLL file for Reading UBROF-formatted load modules
- Versions Concerned
The High-performance Embedded Workshops V.3.01.06 and V.3.01.08 updated
using their respective update programs hewv3161u.exe and hewv3180u.exe.
Note, however, that the V.3.01.06 and V.3.01.08 originally included with
the C-compiler packages and the emulators are not concerned.
To check for the version number of your High-performance Embedded
Workshop, open the Help menu and select the version of High-performance
Embedded Workshop command.
- Description
When the High-performance Embedded Workshop is updated using its update
program mentioned above, the UBROF.DLL file for reading UBROF-formatted
load module files is installed.
However, the High-performance Embedded Workshop does not support any
UBROF-formatted file.
If the UBROF.DLL file has been installed, it is shown by "UBROF"
displayed in the column for selecting the default debug format in the
target tab of the debug settings dialog box*.

You can see the debug settings dialog box by opening the Options menu and select the debug settings command. |
- Workaround
Don't select "UBROF" as the format for load module files.
- Schedule of Fixing the Problem
We plan to fix this problem in our next release of the update programs
for the High-performance Embedded Workshops concerned by removing the UBROF.DLL file.
